Slovenia’s most visited attractions in a day
Start a day with amazing views from the Bled castle and there is much more to be experienced at Slovenian prime Alpine resort-town! Cruise to church island with traditional wooden »Pletna« boat, ring a Bell of Good Luck, take a break and try »kremšnita«, local pastry, simply stroll around the lake and embrace the nature.
From Alpine vistas proceed to Karst underground. One cannot visit Slovenia without visiting Postojna Cave, the largest Karst cave in Slovenia with as much as 24 km of fantastic grid of tunnels, galleries and halls. Starting with electric train taking you inside, like nowhere else in the World, then proceed for a walking tour.

to visit Bled. Upon arrival you will be introduced to destination and possible activities to experience:
Take a short walk along the lake shore or climb atop a steep cliff more than 100m above the lake to visit Bled Castle with its amazing vistas over Alps, lake and forests of Triglav National Park.
The tiny, tear-shaped island beckons from the shore, where you can take ‘pletna’ boat for a ride to island. Rowers still use man power as in old days, making your experience more memorable. On the island climb atop 99 stairs and ring the bell for your wishes to come true.
Upon return from the island stop at the local patisserie and take a break; taste Bled’s famous cream cake – kremšnita. Since the last 60 years, as many as 12 million cream cakes have been sold. Try it yourself.
We will leave the high peaks of the Alps behind and proceed to discovery interesting underworld of Slovenian Karst region.The Pivka river has been carving the Postojna Cave for 2 million years. The water level has changed over time and created a beautiful “multi-level” underground world filled with stalactites, stalagmites, columns, curtains and other gorgeous shapes was gradually created as the water was leaving layers of limestone behind.
You’ll enter the cave by train. The train ride takes about 10 minutes, and then you’ll continue on foot on a guided tour. Walk up the Great Mountain (Calvary) which is an underground hall formed from the collapse of the ceiling. Stroll under the needle-thin transparent tubes hanging from the ceiling in Hall of Tubes. Admire the White Hall of pure white stalactites and the reddish colored Red Room. From under the Russian Bridge you will reach The Concert Hall from where you can see the amazing white Brilliant – a truly breathtaking sight.
A short drive to visit mysterious Predjama Castle and enjoy its stunning views. The castle is built as an impregnable redoubt, placed in the gaping mouth of a cavern halfway up a 123 m cliff.
After a nice full day experience we will return back to Ljubljana.
Drop off will be at same location as pick up.
